How do I open a CNBBankDirect Account?
It's quick and easy to open your CNBBankDirect account. All you need is a personal checking or savings account. The application is broken up into 4 easy steps. CNBBankDirect accounts may only be opened online.
Do I have to change banks?
No. Your CNBBankDirect account can be linked to any non-CNB checking or savings account, giving you easy access to your funds through your existing financial institution.
What is a "linked" account?
When you open your account, you designate what checking or savings account you want it linked to. We then electronically connect that account with your CNBBankDirect account so you can transfer funds easily between the two.
Can I change my linked account once it is set up?
Yes. You may change your funding account at any time. Simply log in to Online Banking. Complete the Contact Us form, specifying from the dropdown you'd like to change your funding account. Once received by us, we will initiate 2 small test transactions to that account to ensure it is set up correctly.
Must I maintain a minimum balance in my CNBBankDirect account?
You can open a CNBBankDirect account with as little as $1.00. After that, you may keep as little or as much as you like in the account, up to $1 million.
How do I know when my CNBBankDirect account is set up?
You will receive a confirmation email the same business day that you open the account. You'll receive your Access ID and instructions on how to view and access your account in a separate email.
What type of identification will I need to apply for this account? A driver’s license or state identification card issued by the United States or local State Government is required to be provided when you apply. At this time we are not able to accept other forms of ID. Examples: Permanent Resident Card (Green Card) and Passport.

How do I log in to view my account?
Go to www.CNBBankDirect.com and click on the Online Banking login box in the top left. You'll then enter your Access ID and verify your image and pass phrase before entering your password to view your account.
How do I access my money?
After you have gone through the one-time verification process, you can begin transferring funds between your CNBBankDirect account and your checking or savings account. After logging in, determine whether you're moving money to or from your cnbbankdirect account and enter an amount.
How do I verify the two deposits CNBBankDirect sends to me?
To verify your deposits you will need to view your linked checking or savings account's transaction history or call your bank for the deposit amounts. Once you obtain the 2 deposit amounts, log in to Online Banking using your Access ID and password. On the Summary Page you will be asked to verify your account. Click on the verify link. Following the instructions confirming the 2 deposits. After you correctly verify the deposits you will have access to transfer your money.
How long does it take for transfers to and from my CNBBankDirect account?
It takes up to three business days to process your transactions.
Can I view transactions posted to my CNBBankDirect account?
To view your account 24/7, just log on to www.CNBBankDirect.com using your Access ID and Password.
How often do I receive a statement?
Statements are generated monthly and may be viewed anytime from within Online Banking.
How do I close my account?
Should you decide to close your cnbbankdirect account, simply login to Online Banking. Complete the Close Account Form . You will receive email notification once the account has been closed.

The FDIC has recently made some temporary changes in light of current economic concerns.
- FDIC coverage has increased to $250,000 per depositor until December 31, 2009.
- FDIC simplified rules for determining coverage available on POD (pay-on-death) or living trust accounts. Now virtually any beneficiary can be named as long as it’s a natural person, charity or non-profit organization.
