Opening Your CNBBankDirect Account
How do I open a CNBBankDirect Account?
It's quick and easy to open your CNBBankDirect Certificate. All you need is an existing CNBBankDirect High Yields Savings Account. The application is broken up into 4 easy steps. The CNBBankDirect Certificate online application may be accessed by logging into your existing CNBBankDirect Online Banking site and selecting Apply Now from the Special CD Offer box on the Welcome screen. All applications must be submitted online.
If you do not have an existing High Yields Savings Account with us, you may apply for one now by visiting us at www.cnbbankdirect.com.
You will receive a confirmation email the same business day that you open the account. Additional emails will guide you through the account opening process and keep you informed along the way.
What type of identification will I need to apply for this account?
A driver’s license or state identification card issued by the United States or local State Government is required to be provided when you apply. At this time we are not able to accept other forms of ID. Examples: Permanent Resident Card (Green Card) and Passport.
How CNBBankDirect Works
How do I log in to view my account?
Go to www.CNBBankDirect.com and click on the Online Banking login box in the top left. You'll then enter your Access ID and verify your image and pass phrase before entering your password to view your account.
Will I receive a statement?
Statements are not provided on CNBBankDirect certificates. Account activity can be viewed anytime from within Online Banking.
Will I be notified when my certificate matures?
A maturity notice will be provided at least 10 calendar days prior to the “Maturity Date”. The maturity notice will be accessible through Online Banking. An email will be sent notifying you that the maturity notice is available to view online.
How long does it take for my certificate to be funded?
This will depend on multiple factors such as the length of time it takes you to electronically sign your documents and the availability of funds in the High Yield Savings Account. Once the transfer is completed funds will begin earning interest in the certificate the same day.
Can I view transactions posted to my CNBBankDirect account?
To view your account 24/7, just log on to www.CNBBankDirect.com using your Access ID and Password.
How do I close my account?
At maturity you will have the option to close your account or allow it to automatically renew. If you choose to close your account, simply login to Online Banking and complete the "Redeem CD" form. You will receive email notification once the account has been closed.

Why do I see an image and pass phrase before I’m able to enter my password for online banking?
This is an additional layer of security that assures you you’re entering the bank’s official website. Each time you log on, you need to be sure the image and pass phrase match exactly the ones you’d selected during your enrollment process. If either or both do not match, DO NOT CONTINUE. Contact us immediately to notify us of the problem.
